Meet the Redeemer Elders
-
Nate Gregg
My wife (Nancy) and I moved to Peoria from Phoenix, AZ in 2016, and joined Redeemer. We have three children (Harry, Clara, and Myrtle), who have all been blessed to attend Concordia Lutheran School.
After many years working in the Security field (both industry and military), I now work in financial planning, which closely aligns with my degree in finance. Nancy is a teacher at Concordia, where she has been able to see our kids throughout the school day!
Our family has a heart for serving and we quickly found a family in Christ at both Redeemer and Concordia. I have served on the Board of Elders since December 2020 and became the Chairman in June 2024. I look forward to serving our congregation’s spiritual needs in the future.

John Steinwedel
I have been a life-long Lutheran Christian. My wife Cindy and I have been married for over fifty years, and we have three adult sons. We have been members at Redeemer for 16 years, and during that time I have served as an usher and elder. I have served on church boards almost continuously since the age of 23 and have come to enjoy contributing to the well-being of the congregations where I served. God has truly blessed both my wife and me in our professions, Cindy as a practicing nurse and university professor with her PhD in nursing science and health research and myself as a dentist. Glory be to God alone as he has truly blessed our lives.
